THE HISTORY:
The lime stone was ground and used for fertilizer. The quarry has existed for over 120 years and has housed a mushroom growing operation and a planned civil defense shelter before it became Rock City, containing Mid America Cold Storage. There is approximately 6 million square feet of developable space. The facility has become a true city with street lights and fire hydrants installed throughout the development.
